Where do I get my ticket?
All tickets, including ferry tickets and monthly passes, are available on the ferry from the cashier. The only exception: annual passes must be applied for.
Should I expect waiting times?
Usually not. For departures from Ingelheim between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m., you should be at the ferry 5–10 minutes before departure time.
Are group tickets available?
Yes, a group rate is automatically applied for groups of ten or more people.
Is there a discount for severely disabled persons?
Persons with a green token issued by the Social Welfare Office are transported free of charge. An accompanying person is also transported free of charge if the disability ID includes a 'B' designation. Vehicles and other items are subject to charges.

Why does the ferry turn around on the way from Ingelheim to Oestrich-Winkel?
The ferry departs backwards from Ingelheim, which is why it has to turn shortly before docking. This is not necessary on the way from Oestrich-Winkel to Ingelheim.
How long does the crossing take?
The ferry crossing takes approximately 7 to 8 minutes.
Do you offer discounts for schoolchildren, students, or senior citizens?
No special discounts are offered for particular categories such as students or seniors.
Does the ferry always operate? What about high or low water levels?
The ferry generally operates year-round – 365 days a year. It is only canceled due to low water levels in absolute exceptional cases; this has happened only twice in the past 50 years. In case of high water, the ferry operates up to a water level of approximately 500 cm at the Oestrich gauge. Beyond that point, all access roads, such as the B 42, are flooded. This typically occurs every 2 to 3 years.

Yes, go onto the ferry after the vehicles, use hoof boots if necessary, follow staff instructions.

Free transportation of severely disabled persons only with a valid severely disabled person's ID card and a valid token, an accompanying person only with the note “B” in the ID card. The transportation of vehicles is always subject to a charge. Please have your disabled person's ID card and token ready and show them without being asked.
